When you click on the link above for a quote comparison, first you'll select the TYPE of insurance you are looking for from the drop down menu. The default is populated with "Health Insurance". The other selections in the drop down menu are:
- Short Term
- Dental
- Medicare Supplement
Once you've done that, you'll then enter some personal information:
- zip code
- effective date of coverage (when you'd like your health insurance coverage to begin)
- gender of proposed insured (male/female)
- date of birth
- whether or not you use tobacco
- and whether or not you're a full time student.
The system will find all the plans in your area. You can then refine your search, by indicating various filters in the boxes at the left hand side of the screen.
You can indicate what type of medical plan you want (HSA, PPO, etc), the deductible level you have an interest in, the insurance company you'd like to see, and many other filters that will customize the search.
The fewer filters you select, the more companies & plans you'll see.
Simply make your choices and then click on "update". The system will then show the plans that match your criteria and you can click on the ones you'd like to compare "side by side". You'll be able to see the features of those plans and compare them right there!
