It’s a great little “café & hangout” that offers a fantastic assortment of breakfast and lunch items that are expertly prepared.
I’ve personally had more than one of the sandwiches there and all of the items I’ve tried have been great. The Webster City Bacon, lettuce and roasted tomato sandwich is one of the best BLTs I’ve ever eaten, so that’s one of my favorites. You’ll want to try more than one of the menu offerings to find out which items are your favorites.
I’ve included a link to their menu here, so that you can see the offerings first hand.
Happy Gillis Menu
Todd and his wife Tracy Zinn own the restaurant, which has been open since March of 2008. Their daughter, Eden, is the artist responsible for the restaurant’s logo, which makes you happy just looking at it!
Todd is also a master soup maker creating premier, all natural soups for delivery to other “happy soup eaters”. You can read more about this unique culinary offering at www.happysoupeater.com.
Happy Gillis should be on your list of places to go this summer. You’ll be happy that you tried it and supported another great local restaurant here in Kansas City.
